Tom O'Brien
My Story
Hi,
My name is Tom O'Brien. Up until I was 12 years old, I was an energetic outgoing kid. Great family and friends, and life was good.
In 2008, just before my 13th birthday I was hit by a car, when I was playing outside my house. I suffered a severe brain injury. I was in hospital for over 10 months, where I had to re-learn everything again.
After a while, I returned to The Peninsula School, the school was fantastic. I would really like to thank Tierney & Heather and all my friends. In 2014 I graduated year 12.
After year 12, I continued at TAFE. In my course I did 2 weeks work experience with Outlook, and they offered me a permanent job. I am now at TAFE 3 days a week, and I work at Outlook 2 days a week with Stav. I am really enjoying it.
I also do motivational talks.
Life is still good, and I continue to live life to the fullest.
